I’m a recent college graduate figuring out what my next step is. I started this blog as a place for me to both record my rants, raves, and life events, while also posting about some of my loves: FOOD, health and wellness, veganism, and my dog, Lilly.
Oh yeah, and sugar.
I’ve been health conscious most of my life, but I have always had a sweet tooth that makes itself known on a regular basis. I used to beat myself up about it and let it basically rule my life, but now I’ve learned to accept it for what it is and approach it with a healthful view. Most of the time I get my fix in the form of healthy sweet foods and relationships with sweet friends and family.
And then… some days, I just go for a little of the literal sugar.
But either way, the real life-changer has been my focus on a whole-foods, vegan, low-fat diet; and although I don’t eat near a perfect diet every day, the balance has still made me healthier, both physically, emotionally, and mentally. And I’m also not afraid to splurge a little when I need it!
Besides, what’s life without a little sugar, eh? But I don’t just mean literallly. No matter what we may be struggling with or going through, I believe it’s important to remember to add a little sweetness to every situation so that we never forget to savor the best things in life.
